Material Guide

On this page you will find an overview of all materials that are used in Rehband products. Rehband uses many different, highly functional, high-tech fabrics that have a wide variety of functions to optimally support and protect you and your body during training.

ABS Plastic

A common thermoplastic with good impact resistance and toughness. Contents: Acrylonitrile, Butadiene, Styrene.

AEROPRENE®

A perforated Neoprene, which makes the material breathable and lets the excessive moisture transfer away from body.

BREATH-O-PRENE®

A breathable material with amazing flexibility. Allows air and moisture to pass through in a controlled manner and provides a high degree of comfort without skin irritations.

COOLMAX®

Coolmax® is a high performance fabric with specially-engineered polyester fibers to improve “breathability” and moisture transportation. These features are built into the fiber and therefore require no chemical treatment.
Contents: Polyester

DURATEC®

A strong material with excellent abrasion resistance (withstands rubbing), high durability and color fastness. The material is dirt repellent and easy to care for.
Contents: Polyester, Tactel®, Lycra®

EP-RUBBER

Ethylene propylene rubbers (EPM) have good mechanical and elastic properties and high resistance to ozone, heat, frost, organic solvents, bases and acids.
Contents: Ethylene, Propylene

EVA

Closed cell foam made from Ethylene Vinyl Acetate and blended copolymers. EVA foam features an excellent impact and shock absorption which we utilize in our padded protection equipment.
Contents: Ethylene Vinyl Acetate

KEVLAR®

A lightweight and extraordinary strong fiber that is resistant to chemicals, heat and abrasion.
Contents: Aramid fibers

LYCRA®

A synthetic elastomeric fiber with qualities similar to rubber. Very stretchable and elastic.
Contents: Elastane (PU)

M-Vent

A perforated neoprene material that allows ventilation and provides a sense of dryness and heat.

POLYAMIDE

A synthetic and durable lightweight fiber, also commonly known as nylon. Polyamide fibers have high elasticity, are very easy to wash and also quick-drying.

POLYESTER

A widely used fiber with high durability and good abrasion resistance. Materials made from polyester fiber are resistant to stretching and shrinking and also very easy to wash.

POLYURETHANE

A common thermoplastic polymer, with strong fibers and good abrasion and pilling resistance. Textiles made from polypropylene are soft, will dry fast and keeps the body warm.

POLYPROPYLENE

A common thermoplastic polymer, with strong fibers and good abrasion and pilling resistance. Textiles made from polypropylene are soft, will dry fast and keeps the body warm.

SBR/NEOPRENE

A thermal and elastic material with shock absorbing properties. The material is latex free, cushioned and has a high density that provides warmth and increases the blood flow. Very durable and can be washed any number of times without losing elasticity.
Contents: SBR (Styrene-Butadiene-Rubber), Chloroprene

SPACETEX®

SpaceTex® is a special three-dimensional fabric that features an excellent comfort and durability. The material has high compression and is also breathable which enables it to transfer the moisture away from the skin.

SPANDEX

A synthetic fiber, also known as elastane, with high abrasion and stretchability. The elastic features provide a very soft and smooth feeling.
Contents: Elastane (PU)

TECHNOGEL®

A unique polyurethane based gel with high shock absorption an outstanding durability. The soft, breathable gel provides an excellent comfort.

VELOUR

A plush, knitted fabric made from cotton or synthetic fibers like polyester (PES) and polyamide. Lightweight and wrinkle resistant.
