26 days and 12 countries have passed since Rehband Ambassador Nick Butter started his adventure “Running The World 196”, with the mission to raise funds and awareness for prostate cancer. So far he has run through snow in Canada, the rainy Bahamas and the busy and hot roads of Haiti, along with 9 other nations. Even though the climate changes have been challenging on both body and spirit across the different countries, Nick is steadily working through his agenda of 196 destinations with an extremely positive attitude.
“So my run today took me about 3000ft of climbing, long slogs, passed some banana fields, lots of water stops and finally I made it. Finishing my 11th marathon in 25 days. I found myself reflecting on why I’m doing this. In a positive way that is. Thinking about Kev and all the other people that suffer from cancer… and specifically Prostate Cancer.” – Diary updates; Day 25 – Marathon 11 – Saint Lucia
In addition to spreading an important and inspiring message about prostate cancer, Nick also sees this expedition as an opportunity to reach out and leave a legacy for the next generation across the world. He will visit schools and encourage kids to grab existence and live it their way, through promoting how life is valuable, precious and finite.
“I want the legacy to be that DO NOT underestimate how valuable and how hugely privileged we are to have this amazing life that we have and this amazing world.” – Nick Butter
He is currently running through the Caribbean islands, where he is about to finish his 12th marathon Saint Kitts. He will then continue through Central and South America, before making some stops in Boston, North Korea and Peru.
Rehband is proud to support such an amazing cause and looks forward to the 76 weeks that remain of his adventure. You can follow his journey and sign up to run with Nick through his itinerary or blog.
