How to measure correctly
-
Grab a measuring tape
A flexible tape measure works best. No tape at hand? Use a piece of string and measure it against a ruler afterwards.
-
Sit down and bend your knee slightly
Sit on the edge of a chair and stretch your leg forward with your heel on the floor, so that your knee is only slightly bent – about 30°. Relax your leg.
-
Find the measuring point
Measure 10 cm down from the centre of your kneecap and remember this spot – this is where you’ll measure your calf in the next step.
-
Measure around your calf
Wrap the tape around your calf at this spot. Keep it level and snug against the skin, without pulling it tight.
