France Handball Federation FFHB and Rehband have since years had a good cooperation, with Rehband as the official supplier of sport supports to the successful French handball teams. The 22^nd Handball World Cup was played earlier this year in Sweden and saw France arrive as the defending Champions from Croatia 2009. When the Championship was finalised after more than two weeks of intense and exciting games, France again stood as the Champion.

The final was played against Denmark, who took France into extra time with a late equaliser. But in the extra time France again proved to be the best team in the world and could in the end win by 37 – 35. And they are the first team to defend the title since 1974!

French players were as usual using different Rehband support products during the tournament but also some of the brand new Compression products. In fact, France was even provided with products not even out on the market - Compression arm and calf sleeves. Several players used the sleeves during the semi final and final.

Says the physiotherapist of the French team Pierre Sebastien: “We like the Rehband support products and know that they give us what we want to have in warmth and compression. The new Compression sleeves proved to be well designed and with a good fit, and certainly helped the players to a better feel. In a tight game like the final every little detail counts, and the Rehband Compression sleeve sure was one of those details.”
