Handball W.C 2011 - France defended the title
France beat Denmark 37 - 35 in overtime in the final of the 2011 handball World Championship in Sweden, to defend their title and show who the leading handball nation in the world is.

22nd Men’s Handball World Championship
Thursday the 13th January the 22nd World Championship of Handball was opened in Gothenburg, Sweden. It is played in eight cities in south-west Sweden, with the final being hosted by Malmö on the last Sunday of January.
